My first shares, on my phone

I had wanted to buy shares for years, but every broker needed a form, a branch and a week. Abedua took my Ghana Card, a selfie and GH₵100 from MoMo. Ten minutes later I owned MTN. I still have the screenshot.

Kwame B.· Kumasi

Finally understand what I own

Every company page reads like a friend explaining it. I know why GCB pays dividends and why GOIL moves with fuel prices. That alone is worth it. I stopped guessing and started choosing.

Efua M.· Tema

Auto-invest changed my habits

GH₵50 every Friday, straight from MoMo. I don't feel it leave, but I feel it when I open the app. Six months in and I haven't missed a single week. It's the first money habit that stuck.

Kofi O.· Takoradi

The dividend hit my wallet

GH₵84 from GCB landed in my Abedua wallet with a note explaining what it was and why I got it. No chasing a broker, no cheque to bank. It just arrived, and I reinvested it in two taps.

Abena A.· Cape Coast

Support that actually replies

I messaged on WhatsApp at 9pm about a withdrawal and a real person answered in minutes. I've never had that from a bank, let alone a broker. Money was back on my MoMo before I slept.

Frequently asked questions

  • Top up instantly from MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash or AT Money, or by bank transfer. Withdrawals go back to the same Mobile Money number or bank account, usually within minutes. Deposits and withdrawals are free.

  • Every company listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange — from MTN Ghana and GCB Bank to GOIL and Guinness Ghana. Government of Ghana treasury bills and bonds are coming next, so you can hold everything in one place.

  • Opening an account is free, and there are no monthly, custody or inactivity fees. When you buy or sell, you pay a 1% brokerage fee plus the statutory GSE, SEC and CSD levies at cost. You'll see the exact total before you confirm.

  • When a company you own pays a dividend, it lands in your Abedua wallet automatically with a note explaining what it is. You can withdraw it, keep it as cash, or switch on auto-reinvest to buy more shares.

  • There's no minimum balance. You can buy as little as one share of a company, which for many GSE stocks is under GH₵5. Auto-invest starts from GH₵20 a week.

  • Message us on WhatsApp, call, or email — a real person replies, seven days a week. Members also get a named support contact once their account is open.
